Firefly Recruitment ("Firefly", "we", "us" or "our") respects the privacy of candidates, clients, website visitors and other people we interact with.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information in connection with our recruitment services and website.

Information provided as part of a recruitment process may be retained so Firefly can consider you for current or future opportunities, maintain an accurate history of our interactions and provide recruitment services.

Submitting a CV does not mean that Firefly will automatically provide it to every client or employer.

Where appropriate, Firefly will discuss relevant opportunities and the use of your information with you as part of the recruitment process.

You may contact us at any time if you no longer wish to be considered for opportunities or would like us to review the information we hold about you.

7.Storage and security

Firefly may hold personal information electronically using secure business systems and third-party technology providers.

This may include systems used for:

Information submitted through Firefly's website forms is used to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, provide recruitment services.

CVs and other documents submitted through the website are stored using private cloud infrastructure.

Authorised Firefly personnel may access this information where required to handle your enquiry or provide recruitment services.

Please ensure that information you submit about another person, such as a referee, is provided appropriately and that they would reasonably expect you to provide it for recruitment purposes.

9.Overseas service providers

Some technology and service providers used by Firefly may store, process or access information outside Australia.

Where Australian privacy law applies to an overseas disclosure, Firefly will take reasonable steps required by applicable law in relation to that disclosure.

The countries involved may depend on the infrastructure used by our technology and service providers.

Where it is practicable and legally required to identify likely overseas locations, Firefly will maintain appropriate information about those locations.

10.AI and automated tools

Firefly may use software and technology to assist with administrative tasks, search, organisation of information and recruitment workflows.

Human judgement and direct relationships remain central to Firefly's recruitment services.

Where Firefly uses personal information in automated decision-making in a way that requires specific disclosure under Australian privacy law, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain the relevant use, the information involved and the kinds of decisions affected.

11.Communications and direct marketing

Firefly may contact candidates, clients and professional contacts where the communication is relevant to our recruitment services or an existing professional relationship.

Where required, we will obtain appropriate consent before sending marketing communications.

You may ask us to stop sending marketing communications at any time.

Operational communications relating to an enquiry, recruitment process or existing business relationship are not treated as marketing communications.

12.Accessing or correcting your information

You may contact Firefly to request access to personal information we hold about you or to ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.

We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request.

In some circumstances, Australian law may permit or require us to refuse access. If this occurs, we will explain the reason where legally permitted.

Firefly takes suspected privacy and security incidents seriously.

Where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies and a breach is likely to result in serious harm, affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner will be notified as required.
